Educational Programs and Services

Educational Programs The Apex Fire Department now offers a variety of educational programs for all age groups, from fire safety classes for young children to CPR training for teens and adults. Engaging in these programs equips our community with essential safety knowledge and promotes a culture of preparedness. Make sure to plan ahead, as a 14-day notice is required for public education events. Learn more here.

Youth Athletics

Youth Athletics Registration for the spring and summer youth sports leagues is now open! The Town of Apex provides opportunities for children to participate in soccer, baseball, basketball, and more. These programs encourage physical activity and teamwork, and we are currently seeking volunteers to coach. If you're interested in fostering young athletes, please reach out! Find out more here.

Pedestrian, Bike, and Transit Projects

Pedestrian Projects Significant improvements are on the way for pedestrian and bike routes in Apex! The Downtown Safe Routes to School project aims to enhance accessibility for students and includes upgrades to key bus stops and intersections. Community input is crucial, so if you have suggestions for sidewalk projects, please fill out the request form on our website. Get the details here.

Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

The Saunders Parking Lot has now expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging capabilities with 6 dual-port stations, accommodating a total of 12 vehicles. This enhancement is part of our commitment to improving infrastructure for our growing community of EV users. Learn more about this initiative here.

Plant the Peak Program

The Town of Apex is excited to announce the Plant the Peak program, which provides free native trees for residents to enhance our local tree canopy. With 234 trees available for installation, this initiative not only beautifies our community but also supports environmental health. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. 4. UPCOMING EVENTS

  • Registration for Youth Flag Football opens on March 30, 2026, for residents and April 13, 2026, for non-residents.
  • The pilot initiative to expand park operational hours starts on January 1, 2026, allowing more access to our community parks.
