The Planning Board is comprised of volunteers appointed by the Mayor and meets
monthly to discuss matters related to land use and development. Meetings are
held on the 2nd Monday of each month, beginning at 4:30 pm, in the Town Hall
Council Chamber located on the 2nd floor at 73 Hunter Street.
Some items brought before the Planning Board require public hearings, during
which members of the general public can voice their opinion related to that
item.

The Apex Planning Board shall consist of ten (10) voting members and one (1)
non-voting youth member as defined by the Resident Advisory Board
Administrative Policy. All members shall be recommended by the Mayor and
appointed by the Town Council with the exception of the ETJ member which shall
be appointed by the Wake County Board of County Commissioners. Members shall
be appointed for two-year terms, except the non-voting youth representative
which shall be appointed for a term of one-year.
*Pursuant to the Town's Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), the Chair and Vice-Chair positions are annual appointments and do not coincide with the member's term.
