Apex Jaycee Park, located at 451 NC Hwy 55, is a 24-acre facility featuring a picnic shelter, athletic fields, a cricket pitch, and a batting cage, open daily from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM. Starting January 1, 2026, we will pilot extended morning hours with all park entrance gates open, and I’m excited to share that a new youth-sized artificial turf cricket pitch was completed in March 2024 to support the growing popularity of cricket in our community.

The park features a picnic shelter equipped with a grill, athletic fields, a cricket pitch, a batting cage, and a playground with a shade structure. It’s open year-round from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM, with fields, courts, and restrooms available starting at 6:30 AM. For any inquiries, you can reach the park office at (919) 249-3402. I’m excited to share that beginning January 1, 2026, we will launch a pilot initiative to expand the park's morning operational hours. This will include opening all park entrance gates during all hours for up to eight months, making it even more accessible for our community. This initiative aims to enhance your experience at the park, allowing for more flexibility in how you enjoy the space. Additionally, we have recently completed a cricket pitch amenity project at Jaycee Park, transforming a portion of the grass soccer fields into artificial turf specifically designed for cricket. This youth-sized pitch is the Town’s first dedicated cricket facility and reflects the growing popularity of the sport in our area. The field is available for rentals and will also support future programming, further enriching our community's recreational offerings.
