Educational Programs and Services

Educational Programs The Apex Fire Department is offering a range of educational programs for residents of all ages, including fire safety classes for young children and CPR training for adults. These programs aim to equip our community with essential safety knowledge. Ensure to plan ahead and submit requests for these services at least 14 days in advance. More details can be found here.

Youth Athletics

Youth Athletics The Town of Apex is thrilled to announce the opening of registration for various youth sports programs, including soccer, baseball, and flag football for kids aged 7 to 12. These programs not only promote physical activity but also foster teamwork and social connections among children. For more information and to register, visit our website here.

Open Gym

Open Gym We've expanded our Open Gym hours to include new play times for pickleball, catering to adults during lunch hours on select weekdays. This is a wonderful opportunity to stay active and socialize. Please check the schedule for the most up-to-date information. You can find it here.

Plant the Peak

The Town of Apex is proud to be recognized as a Tree City USA community, and we are excited to introduce the Plant the Peak program. This initiative provides free installation of native trees for residents, with 234 trees available for 2025. Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, so be ready to participate when the next round opens in October 2026. Learn more about this initiative here.

Pedestrian, Bike, and Transit Projects

Pedestrian Projects We are enhancing our community's safety and connectivity with several pedestrian and bike projects, including the Downtown Safe Routes to School initiative. This project is vital for improving access for students and ensuring safe routes to key locations. Your input on sidewalk projects is invaluable, so please share your suggestions.   • Youth Flag Football Registration Opens: March 30, 2026 (Residents), April 13, 2026 (Non-residents)
  • Community Safety Workshop: January 22, 2026, at the Apex Senior Center
  • Spring and Summer Youth Sports Registration: Now open

5. CIVIC ENGAGEMENT

  • Your feedback is encouraged for upcoming pedestrian and bike projects. Please fill out the sidewalk request form on our website.
  • Join the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training to help prepare for emergencies in our community.
