The Town is collaborating with a design firm to create a new greenway connection from the existing park greenway to Muses Mill Court in the Oak Hall neighborhood, which will include a pedestrian bridge over Little Branch Creek. We anticipate construction to begin in Spring 2026, enhancing safe access to the North Main Athletic Complex for our residents.

The Town is currently collaborating with a design firm to create a new greenway connection that will enhance access to the North Main Athletic Complex. This proposed route will extend from the existing park greenway and connect to Muses Mill Court in the Oak Hall neighborhood. The new greenway will be approximately 1,050 feet long and will feature a pedestrian bridge over Little Branch Creek, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all users. As it stands, the existing park greenway runs along the western entrance of the park and passes under Sportsmanship Way. Looking ahead, we also plan to develop further connections to the North Main Athletic Complex, including a pedestrian tunnel that will go beneath N.C. 55, making it even easier for residents to reach the complex. Construction for this project is estimated to begin in the spring of 2026.
